118045 – Overline Directory Enquiries

118 045In 2007 Overline set about developing a new directory enquiries service for our customers. We had noticed that some of our customers were spending excessive amounts on 118 directory enquiries services and started to contact us to bar the numbers from their phones. The feedback was that although directory enquires is a useful service it was just too expensive to justify.

To show that we don’t just listen to our customers problems but that we also act to resolve them, we launched 118 045. Overline directory enquiries is more than 50% cheaper than most other similar services at just 45p per call. There are no other charges no matter how long the call.

Our operators have been told to refuse to put calls through to the number they want as costs rocket. We will also send you a text to a mobile for free if requested. To launch the service we teamed up with local children’s hospice, Chestnut Tree House. 10% of all profits from the service will go to the charity.
