INDeX Information
What does end of support mean?In May 2006 INDeX went ‘end of sale’ meaning INDeX was no longer sold by Avaya. At that time it was stated that it would be supported for a minimum of 3 years, this means spare parts, license swaps, technical support etc. After May 2009, Avaya will no longer be able to offer replacement parts, technical support or service on INDeX equipment.
Can I still get spare parts for my INDeX system after this date?
In the event of a breakdown of any parts, your existing reseller will not be able to source spares directly from Avaya. It may be possible to source them other locations, but please bear in mind they are likely to be refurbished or used and unlikely that any warranty will be offered. Parts will become harder to source, consequently priced at a premium.
How will end of support affect my business?
A critical part like CPU’s will be increasingly hard to come by, meaning downtime could be indeterminate. More importantly, licenses to run applications will no longer be accessible, so even with a new CPU Avaya will be unable to issue application licenses as it would have done prior to May 2009. Your system may be up and running, but essential applications like Voice Mail will not function. There will be no way to get these licenses after this date.

No. In order to take advantage of the promotion, your current INDeX must be destroyed.
