In 2025, BT (British Telecommunications) will shutdown all their ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network) lines in the United Kingdom. This means that your existing connection box will be redundant. If you still have a PBX (Private Branch Exchange), you will have two options:
Option 1 – SIP
Offered as a short-term solution, PBX’s can be converted for SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) use. This will make your existing box capable of managing the increased demands for the next few years.
Option 2 – Cloud VOIP
